At Louisburgh Music School we have three terms of 10 weeks per school year (September to May). All students are taught individually by Michael or Pauline. Students usually enrol for 30-minute lessons. For more advanced students, lessons of 45 minutes or 60 minutes can be arranged.

We have a Mid-Term Break in the Autumn and Spring which coincide with the school holidays. Our terms also match the school holidays at Christmas and Easter.

Please contact us if you have any questions about music lessons, a suitable age to start singing or instrumental lessons, or for guidance on choosing a suitable instrument.
Students can be prepared for ABRSM, RIAM and RockSchool music exams, and for ABRSM music theory exams. Classes for Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert music theory are also available, and students can be prepared for third-level entrance exams and auditions.
For students applying for third-level courses in Northern Ireland or the UK: ABRSM exams at Grades 6-8 and RockSchool exams at Grades 6-8 entitle students to additional UCAS points.
Fees for flute and piano are €210 per term for ten 30-minute lessons. Fees for singing lessons are €215 per term for ten 30-minute lessons. Fees are payable at the start of each term, by online payment (with a debit or credit card). 45-minute and 60-minute lessons can be arranged for advanced students (Grade 5-8 and Leaving Certificate students); please contact us for more details.
A Family Discount is available – this means that there is a 10% discount on fees for the second or third child enrolled from the same family. We also offer a 10% discount on the second set of fees for a student who enrols for two sets of lessons (e.g. piano and singing).
Please note that fees for music exams, music competitions, sheet music, and accessories are in addition to the fees due for each term.
