Teaching Terms

At Louisburgh Music School we have three terms of 10 weeks per school year (September to May). All students are taught individually by Michael or Pauline. Students usually enrol for 30-minute lessons. For more advanced students, lessons of 45 minutes or 60 minutes can be arranged.

2017–2018 Terms

Term One: 11th September - 20th November

Term Two: 27th November - 19th February

Term Three: 26 February - 14th May

We have a Mid-Term Break in the Autumn and Spring which coincides with the school holidays. Our terms also match the school holidays at Christmas and Easter. Contact us for an application form.

What We Teach

Pauline: Flute, Singing and Recorder

Michael: Piano and Music Theory

Please contact us if you have any questions about music lessons, a suitable age to start singing or instrumental lessons, or for guidance on choosing a suitable instrument.

Fees are €200 per term for ten 30-minute lessons. Fees are payable at the start of each term, by cheque or bank transfer. For 45-minute lessons, fees are €300 per term.

A Family Discount is available - this means that there is a 10% discount on fees for the second or third child enrolled from the same family. We also offer a 10% discount on the second set of fees for a student who enrols for two sets of lessons (e.g. piano and singing).

Please note that fees for music exams, music competitions, sheet music and accessories are in addition to the fees due for each term.
